Mike Cunningham, PharmD

Dr. Cunningham is currently the Principal and sole owner of Rx 2020 LLC, a healthcare advisory firm providing strategic consulting to provider organizations, pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, investors, and other healthcare stakeholders focused on the specialty pharmaceutical marketplace.

A seasoned healthcare executive, Dr. Cunningham has held leadership roles spanning large academic medical center pharmacy practice, venture-backed specialty pharmaceutical distribution, co-founding a national oncology specialty group purchasing organization (GPO), and serving as a General Manager within a Fortune 10 pharmaceutical wholesaler. His diverse experience provides a unique perspective across the healthcare ecosystem.

Throughout his career, Dr. Cunningham has led strategic initiatives involving product commercialization, FDA approvals, market access, contracting, reimbursement, and the development of innovative partnerships with both emerging and established pharmaceutical companies. He has negotiated and managed billion-dollar agreements while helping organizations navigate complex business and market challenges.

Known for his entrepreneurial approach and strategic vision, Dr. Cunningham advises organizations on business strategy, growth initiatives, and creative solutions that drive value across the healthcare continuum. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for several nonprofit and for-profit companies in the healthcare space.

Dr. Cunningham earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Southern California and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Walter A. Haas School of Business.
