Kurt Defenbaugh joined AllyGPO in 2025 and serves as President of AllyRetina. He leads commercial strategy and growth activities for all retina business initiatives.
Prior to joining AllyGPO, Kurt was the Chief Operating Officer at Retina Consultants of Texas (RCA) where he held P&L responsibility across markets for clinical operations and retina research. He led the organization through a hyper-growth phase inclusive of acquisitions and integration, while driving profitability, physician recruitment, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness enterprise wide. Before his time at Retina Consultants of Texas, Kurt was part of the McKesson Specialty (Oncology) team and worked with physician practice leaders to drive critical initiatives that strengthened operations and profitability in a rapidly changing climate.
Kurt served as an officer in the United States Air Force, holds a bachelor’s degree in applied arts from Texas State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business.
