About This Opportunity

We're looking for a respected, trusted, and highly networked sales professional with experience in community GPO, retina, clinic class-of-trade, and practice technology to become our next Director of Provider Engagement for AllyRetina(SM) -- AllyGPO's retina-specific group purchasing service. This is a provider-facing role with both business development and account management objectives. This role manages all stages of the sales process to build a membership pipeline, secure new GPO memberships, deliver contract optimization support, collaborate with distribution partner to support product access for members, and deliver meaningful services to enhance the member experience. This role also supports the adoption of our innovative practice intelligence technology platform (AllyIQ) with members.

Qualities of an Ideal Candidate

  • Strong relationships at leading community Retina clinics in the eastern half of the U.S.
  • Account leadership with a proven track record and consistent sales performance in meeting/exceeding sales objectives
  • Experience in managing GPO member engagement, including contract performance, practice support, and financial optimization
  • Excellent financial literacy, analytics skills, and business consulting expertise
  • Executive presence, effective communication, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of public and private insurance/payer practices
  • Comfort and familiarity with practice technologies and systems (ie: EHR, PMS, IMS, etc.)

  • Drive member engagement across the spectrum of GPO services
  • Execute best-in-class contract optimization support and value creation
  • Support practice adoption, integration, and utilization of AllyIQ
  • Collaborate with all business partners and stakeholders to ensure an unparalleled customer experience

What You Bring 

Key Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years’ demonstrated business development and account management experience in Retina 
  • Health-tech sales experience/expertise preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a remote-based start-up environment -- e.g., comfort with ambiguity, independent, self-driven, entrepreneurial, strategic and creative mindset, problem-solving orientation, etc. 
  • Success in establishing meaningful executive-level relationships, analyzing performance, and communicating value to customers

Additional Considerations

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize and execute tasks
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office products and Salesforce
  • Able to use personal resources to perform job, including car, mobile phone, and credit card (monthly phone stipend and T+E reimbursement offered)
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or Communications, or 10+ years of equivalent experience; MBA a plus

Physical Requirements 

  • Effectively perform in a remote work setting
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
  • General office environment

  • Remote within the U.S (preferably East Coast)
