Senior Director, Corporate Accounts

About this Opportunity

The Senior Director of Corporate Accounts is responsible for the ongoing strategic business relationship between AllyGPO and pharmaceutical manufacturer partners in the specialty drug market. This person will develop and maintain relationships to secure new business customers, as well as drive revenue and profits with existing corporate partners. Ultimately, the Senior Director is the quarterback for all business dealings between AllyGPO and the pharmaceutical manufacturer partners, including GPO contract negotiation, marketing, consultative services, and projects. Lastly, serving as both a resource and a partner, this person works closely with cross-functional teams to drive and support the overall AllyGPO business and goals.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturer partners to align on mutual business strategies.
  • Understand pharmaceutical manufacturer partner organizations, their business strategies, and objectives to generate new opportunities.
  • Prepare strategy presentations and proposals in support of business development with pharmaceutical manufacturer partners.
  • Manage internal processes to ensure all opportunities are qualified, quoted, and closed properly and expeditiously.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support sales opportunities.
  • Actively manage cross-functional team engagement and output to realize the larger business strategy opportunities.
  • Forecast and generate strategic plans to achieve and execute a defined percentage of goal attainment.
  • Ensure all corporate accounts are effectively managed to retain partners’ business by effectively engaging internal and external cross-functional teams and key decision makers.
  • Oversee the maintenance of existing programs with integrity, reliability, act as an advocate for key initiatives, and drive program deliverables.
  • Understand the specialty drug market, reimbursement landscape, physician class-of-trade requirements, and product brand strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the company and collaborate across the organization to support the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in achieving key margin and revenue targets for the company.
  • Ensure detailed, accurate, up-to-date information is kept in specified business systems.
  • Take personal responsibility for determining and satisfying partner needs and ensuring total satisfaction to maintain future and current business.
  • Always maintain cooperative, productive relationships and procedures to deliver exceptional service.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

What You Bring 

Key Skills & Experience

  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare management, or consulting (preferably in the healthcare industry)
  • Broad experience and training in sales, marketing, or similar vocations.
  • Proven performance consulting in pharmaceutical manufacturer and/or healthcare settings.
  • Strong knowledge of the specialty pharmaceutical market, including products, reimbursement, channel strategies, and pricing methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and experience, including preparing reports and disseminating information.
  • Strong presentation skills, from development to delivery.
  • Experience with the specialty drug buy-and-bill process within community practices.
  • Proven deal management success from initiation to close.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and track record of successfully developing and maintaining cooperative business relationships.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate data and develop successful strategies to meet financial targets and goals.
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information to develop strategies and tactics that effectively respond to changes in the marketplace.
  • Strong creative skills.
  • Ability to work independently, remaining focused and disciplined.
  • Working knowledge of computers and standard office software to effectively operate company systems and programs.

 Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a similar area
  • Advanced degree in a health-related area preferred
